Post Procedure Care

·         The graduated compression hosiery must be worn continuously for the first 24 hours after your procedure.

·         The bandages may be removed after the first 24 hours.

·         Do not soak in a bath or hot tub.

·         After the first 24 hours, you may shower.

·         For one week after the procedure apply the graduated compression hosiery immediately upon rising in the morning and remove at night.

·         If you experience some tenderness or discomfort, you may use Extra Strength Tylenol as directed.  If you experience persistent pain, contact your physician or nurse.

·         Do not sun bathe outside or in a tanning bed and do not use artificial tanning lotions during or between your treatment sessions.  If this was your last treatment session than you may resume your tanning activities.

How the leg and injection site may look post procedure

·         Some bruising may be noticeable on or near the treated area.

·         You may notice a small hard knot in the treated area; this may or may not be tender to touch.  This knot will resolve over 2-3 weeks and in some rare instances it may take several months to resolve.

·         The laser typically does not cause any skin discoloration. However you may notice some very small brown dots where the spider veins were treated with the laser.
