Clinical Trials

Clinical trials (also called medical research and research studies) are used to determine whether new pharmaceutical products or treatments are both safe and effective. At Midwest Heart Specialists, our physicians believe carefully conducted clinical trials are the safest way to find treatments that work.

In 1988 we established Midwest Heart Foundation, a non-profit research and education foundation. The Foundation gives patients access to some of the most progressive treatments and prevention strategies on cardiovascular medicine. Many of the same kinds of research done at university hospitals are also being done at the Foundation.

Our physicians have headed hundreds of clinical trials and collaborated with leading scientists in numerous multi-site studies.

A number of clinical trials are currently in progress. Please contact Midwest Heart Foundation for more information.
