Midwest Heart Specialists Selected for Chicago Magazine's Top Doctors Issue
January 5, 2001
Naperville, IL
Among the 29 area cardiologists named in Chicago magazine's new guide to "Top Doctors" are five Midwest Heart Specialists physicians – the most physicians represented from a single practice in the Chicagoland area.
The five Midwest Heart cardiologists selected were: Vincent Bufalino, MD, Joseph Hartmann, MD, Joseph Marek, MD Stephen Rowley, MD and Diane Wallis, MD. All five cardiologists serve hospitals in the western Chicago suburbs.
"Chicago magazine's selections underscores Midwest Heart's long-standing commitment to hiring and training the best cardiologists," said Mark Goodwin, MD, Executive Vice President and interventional cardiologist with Midwest Heart Specialists. "MHS is a national leader in the prevention and treatment of heart attacks, as evidenced by our research endeavors, prevention programs, grasp of pioneering technologies and of course the emphasis on highest-quality patient care."
Chicago's January 2001 issue based its selections on surveys sent to about 12,000 Chicago-area doctors, nurses and hospital administrators requesting them to nominate physicians in various specialties to whom they would send their family members.
Midwest Heart Specialists is a 35 member private practice in the western suburbs of Chicago. Cardiac sub-specialties include electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, radiology and clinical diagnosis and treatment. MHS physicians are on staff at four area hospitals and have clinics in Yorkville, BolingBrook, Kishwaukee and Sandwich.
