Medical Transcriptionist

Job Description

Transcribe physicians' and nurses' dictation into comprehensive documents, including testing (nuclears, echocardiograms, CT angiograms, peripheral vacular studies, blood pressure monitors and cardiopulmonary exercise tests); office dictation, discharge summaries and letters.  Exemplify MHS values:  Patients First, Teamwork, Excellence and To Endure.

MHS Transcriptionists are paid on productivity (base pay plus incentive). Transcriptionists have the option to work from home after a minimum of 6 months training in house. Training hours must be during the day between the hours of 7:00am and 5:00pm.


Job Requirements

Medical Transcriptist certificate or equivalent experience; 3+ years experience with cardiology transcription preferred. Knowlege of anatomy and medical terminology, good grammar skills, minimum typing speed of 60 wpm, ability to decipher and sit and type for long periods of time. Basic computer (Microsoft Office) knowledge.
