Exercise Physiologist

Job Description

Performs and analyzes cardiac stress testing.
 

Confirms physician order. Preps patient for testing, taking vitals, reviewing medications and explaining test to patient.  Monitors patient's vital signs, assesses EKG changes and symptoms during stress test and recovery phase. Educates patient on exercise guidelines and diet. May be responsible for cardiopulmonary stress testing and interpretation; may assist in research studies.

Job Requirements

MS Exercise Physiology and one to two years stress testing experience in a hospital or office setting or related experience and/or training or equivalent of education and experience. CPR, ACLS & BLS Certifications. Annual Midwest Heart Specialists treadmill credentialing.
