EP Nurse Clinician
Job DescriptionWork collaboratively with the physicians to provide care to patients with pacemakers and internal cardiac defibrillators (ICDs). Assess pacemaker/ICD function in the office setting and/or through remote access. Identify and communicate significant findings to electrophysiologist and/or patient's primary cardiologist. Provide patient and family education regarding pacemaker/ICD function, wound complications, office and phone follow-up schedule, symptom reporting and action to take in the event of an ICD shock. Perform other duties as assigned.
Job RequirementsRegistered professional nurse with licensure in the State of Illinois. BLS Certification. Minimum of five years clinical expertise caring for the cardiovascular patient population is required.
