Cardiac Medical Assistant II
Job DescriptionWork independently with assigned providers in both clinic setting and follow up patient care. Duties include rooming patients and completing Level III assessments; patient prep for treadmill testing; performing EKG testing and processing medication refill requests; Event and Holter monitor application; chart prep following established guidelines; distribution of appropriate education materials to patients as advised by nurse or physician as well as additional duties as assigned to deliver patient care. Job RequirementsREQUIREMENTS: Certified Cardiovascular Technician, LPN or graduate of a medical assistant school/cardiovascular technician program. Two to three years cardiac care experience and/or training or equivalent of education and experience. Knowledge of phlebotomy and IV starting skills required at some locations. BLS certification.
